Projects and collaboration
Projects, stars, and comments live on the org, not on your User. Everyone in the org sees that org’s comments — there is no per-project access list.
This is an overview. List and comment chrome is still landing; do not treat this page as a finished click-through.
Who gets this
Pro (and Trial, which uses Pro features) can use projects, stars, and comments. Free and Basic research without that collab layer. See Billing and plans and Pricing.
Projects
A Project is one org-scoped work object. It has a type:
- Client matter — a real client file (name, court, case numbers, and later tracking or uploads as those ship)
- Research — a topic, description, and optional knowledge buckets
Org home and Projects in the header list the active org’s projects. Open one project at /org/…/projects/….
Search can run generally (no project target, so no star target) or for a project (stars and comments attach to that project).
Stars
A Star saves a judgement or an issue into a project. The same item can be starred into more than one project.
Starring an issue still opens the parent judgement — issues have no public URL of their own.
Comments
A Comment is always scoped to a project. Two shapes:
- Simple — a note on a judgement or issue
- Selection-anchored — a highlight in the judgement body (re-anchored if that body later changes)
Visibility is org-shared. Everyone in the org sees those comments.
If someone later uses Delete account, leftover stars and comments stay. The author label becomes Deleted user (click, focus, or tap reveals the stored email). Leaving the org without deleting that User still shows name and email.
What is still landing
Case-status tracking, progression timelines, and document uploads on client matters are in product scope but not documented here as shipped how-tos. Use Contact if a control you expected is missing.
